- Am I allowed to switch from my existing Postpaid Service Plan or Prepaid Service to the Yes Power 35 Postpaid Service Plan or Yes Prepaid FT5G Service Plan respectively?
Provided always that You have not subscribed to any of the Excluded Service Plans or You are not bound by any contract, You are allowed to switch Your existing Postpaid Service Plan or Prepaid Service with the follows:-
(a) Postpaid Service Plan to the Yes Power 35 Postpaid Service Plan; and
(b) Prepaid Service to any of the Yes Power 35 Postpaid Service Plan or Yes Prepaid FT5G Service Plan. - What are the Excluded Service Plans?
They are:-
(a) Yes 4G Broadband Bundle Plans;
(b) Fixed Wireless Internet Service; and
(c) Kasi Up Family Plan
(hereinafter shall be collectively referred to as the “Excluded Service Plans”). - How do I switch from an existing Postpaid Service Plan or Prepaid Service Plan to the Yes Power 35 Postpaid Service Plan or Yes Prepaid FT5G Service Plan respectively?
You may do so through any one of the channels stated below:
(a) Yes Stores
(b) Yes Authorized Dealer
(c) MyYes app; or
(d)send Us an email at yescare@yes.my - Can I continue to use my existing SIM Card once I have successfully switched to the Yes Power 35 Postpaid Service Plan or Yes Prepaid FT5G Service Plan with the given SIM that I received after change of Plan?
No, You can’t since Your existing SIM Card will not be compatible for use with the Yes Power 35 Postpaid Service Plan and Yes Prepaid FT5G Service Plan. As such, once You have successfully switched to either the Yes Power 35 Postpaid Service Plan or Yes Prepaid FT5G Service Plan, We will proceed to deliver to You at Your delivery address a new SIM Card. You are required to activate the new SIM Card before enjoying the service offerings under the Yes Power 35 Postpaid Service Plan or Yes Prepaid FT5G Service Plan. Please refer to the Yes First to 5G Campaign Terms and Conditions for further details on SIM Card activation @ www.yes.my/docs/tnc/. - How would I know whether my existing Postpaid Service Plan or Prepaid Service is successfully switched to the Yes Power 35 Postpaid Service Plan or Yes Prepaid FT5G Service Plan?
You will receive a notification by way of e-mail or SMS once the plan is successfully switched . - How do I activate the SIM Card with the given SIM that I received?
Please follow the steps stated below if Change of Plan via MyYes app
Login to the MyYes app
2. Go to Quick Access, press “Activate SIM” button and follow the self-activation steps on the screen
3. Once your activation is successful, you will be automatically log into your Service account. - If there is any unused internet data in my existing Postpaid Service Plan or Prepaid Service, will such unused internet data be transferred to my new Yes Power 35 Postpaid Service Plan or Yes FT5G Prepaid Service Plan?
No, You will not be able to carry forward any unused internet data from Your existing Postpaid Service Plan or Prepaid Service once You switched to the Yes Power 35 Postpaid Service Plan or Yes Prepaid FT5G Service Plan. This means any internet data under Your existing Postpaid Service Plan or Prepaid Service which remains unutilised will be forfeited upon successful change of plan. - If I am bound by a contract and I am still within the Contract Period, am I allowed to switch any of my existing service plans?
No, You will not be able to do so. - If I have paid the Commitment Fee under my existing Postpaid Service Plan in a particular calendar month, will such Commitment Fee be pro-rated accordingly in the event I switch to the Yes Power 35 Postpaid Service Plan?
The Commitment Fee paid in a calendar month will be pro-rated accordingly and be deducted from the Bill issued in the calendar month succeeding the month when the Yes Power 35 Postpaid Service Plan is successfully switch.
For example:-
Subscriber had paid the Commitment Fee for the month of January 2022 as reflected in the Bill issued in January 2022 under an existing Postpaid Service Plan on 2/1/2022;
• Subscriber had requested for switch of the existing Postpaid Service Plan to Yes Power 35 Postpaid Service Plan on 5/1/2022; or
• Subscriber had activated his/her SIM Card on 8/1/2022,
in such instance, the Commitment Fee for the month of January 2022 which is paid on 2/1/2022 will be pro-rated and deducted accordingly from the Commitment Fee for the month of February 2022 and will be reflected in the Bill issued in the month of February 2022. - Will there be any changes to the credit limit once I switch my existing Postpaid Service Plan to the Yes Power 35 Postpaid Service Plan?
Yes, there will be changes to the credit limit enjoyed by You once You switch from an existing Postpaid Service Plan to Yes Power 35 Postpaid Service Plan. For further information on Your enjoyment of credit limit, please:-
(a) Download and Login to MyYes app;
(b) Click on “profile” tab; and
(c) click on “Account” tab. - Will there be any charges imposed when I switch from my existing Postpaid Service Plan or Prepaid Service to the Yes Power 35 Postpaid Service Plan?
Yes, there will be charges imposed when You switch to the Yes Power 35 Postpaid Service Plan. The applicable charges will depend on the type of rate offerings under the Yes Power 35 Postpaid Service Plan subscribed by You. You may refer to www.yes.my for further details. - Will there be any charges imposed when I switch from my existing Prepaid Service to the Yes Prepaid FT5G Service Plan?
Yes, there will be charges imposed when You switch to the Yes Prepaid FT5G Service Plan. You may refer to www.yes.my for further details. - Can I use the balance sum remaining in Yes Credit to off-set against any applicable charges payable during the switch to the Yes Power 35 Postpaid Service Plan or Yes Prepaid FT5G Service Plan?
No, You can’t use the balance sum remaining in the Yes Credit to off- set against any applicable charges during such switch to the Yes Power 35 Postpaid Service Plan or Yes Prepaid FT5G Service Plan. - What happens to the balance sum remaining in my Yes Credit once I have switched my existing Prepaid Service Plan to the Yes Power 35 Postpaid Service Plan?
Any balance sum remaining in Your Yes Credit will be transferred to your new Postpaid Service account under the Yes Power 35 Postpaid Service Plan and will be utilised towards payment of the Commitment Fee in the month succeeding the calendar month when the plan is successfully change. The details on the utilisation of Yes Credit towards payment of the Commitment Fee will be reflected in the next Bill succeeding the calendar month when the plan is successfully. - What happens to the balance sum remaining in my Yes Credit once I have switched my existing Prepaid Service to the Yes Prepaid FT5G Service Plan?
Any balance sum remaining in Your Yes Credit will be transferred to your new Prepaid Service account under the Yes Prepaid FT5G Service Plan. - Can I pay the Commitment Fee under the Yes Power 35 Postpaid Service Plan by way of Auto Billing?
If You want to pay the Commitment Fee of the Yes Power 35 Postpaid Service Plan by way of Auto Billing, You are required to select the Auto Billing option in the MyYes app by following the relevant steps stated therein. For clarity, please take note that if You have opted for payment of Commitment Fee under Your existing Postpaid Service Plan by way of Auto Billing, such option will automatically end once You switch to the Yes Power 35 Postpaid Service Plan. - What if I have more questions not addressed in this FAQ?
