YesRoam provides you with unlimited 5G + 4G data roaming when you connect to our preferred roaming operator while traveling overseas. - What YesRoam data roaming passes are available?
YesRoam data roaming passes are roaming internet passes that allow you to surf the internet while abroad. These passes are available to all Yes Postpaid Service plan subscribers while travelling overseas in eligible countries.
YesRoam SG
YesRoam SG offers unlimited 5G + 4G data roaming for all Yes Postpaid Service plans customers while travelling in Singapore.
There are 4 YesRoam SG Passes available while you travelling in Singapore:
i. YesRoam SG Monthly (only with Yes Infinite or Yes Infinite+ Plan) – FREE unlimited 5G/4G data roaming, monthly 10GB high speed, 512kbps thereafter. It also comes with FREE incoming calls and outgoing calls to any Malaysia number while in Singapore.
ii. YesRoam SG 1 Day at RM8 with unlimited 5G/4G data roaming, 1GB high speed, 512kbps thereafter for 24 hours validity.
iii. YesRoam SG 3 Days at RM12 with unlimited 5G/4G data roaming, 5GB high speed, 512kbps thereafter for 72 hours validity.

YesRoam ASEAN Plus offers unlimited 5G + 4G data roaming for all Yes Postpaid Service plans customers in across 12 destinations including Brunei, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Laos, Macau, Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam and South Korea.YesRoam ASEAN Plus comes with the following options:
i. YesRoam ASEAN Plus 1 Day at RM10 with unlimited 5G/4G data roaming, 1GB high speed, 512kbps thereafter for 24 hours validity.
ii. YesRoam ASEAN Plus 3 Days at RM20 with unlimited 5G/4G data roaming, 5GB high speed, 512kbps thereafter for 72 hours validity.
iii. YesRoam ASEAN Plus 7 Days at RM30 with unlimited 5G/4G data roaming, 10GB high speed, 512kbps thereafter for 168 hours validity.Other YesRoam Daily Pass
Besides Singapore and the eligible countries in YesRoam ASEAN Plus, we also offer a daily internet roaming pass with our preferred roaming operators in over 50 eligible countries at a fixed daily charge, RM 38 per day with the usage quota vary by country. It will be automatically activated upon data usage is detected in the eligible countries. This pass valid from 00:00:00 to 23:59:59 of the visiting country’s capital city time and will be renewed and charged on a daily basis until you switch OFF your Mobile Data and Data Roaming in your phone settings. For example, if you are in United Kingdom and start using the data roaming service from 09:00 London time, your daily validity will end at 23:59:59 London time. - How do I subscribe to YesRoam data roaming passes?
YesRoam data roaming passes is available to our Postpaid Service customers. Depending on your Postpaid plan, Yes 5G has created various YesRoam data roaming passes to cater to your needs. You may check the available passes at yes.my/roaming or via the MyYes app under the “YesRoam” icon.You can pre-booked via MyYes app, go to YesRoam > Buy Roaming for:
i. YesRoam SG Pass (Singapore) from RM 8.00
ii. YesRoam ASEAN Plus Pass (12 eligible countries) from RM 10.00Otherwise, an auto-daily subscription for one of the passes below will be activated once your data usage is detected in eligible countries:
i. YesRoam SG 1 Day Pass (Singapore) at RM 8.00
ii. YesRoam ASEAN Plus 1 Day Pass (12 eligible countries) at RM 10.00
iii. YesRoam Daily Pass (over 50 eligible countries) at RM 38.00To start using a YesRoam data roaming pass, you will need to turn ON both Mobile Data and Data Roaming in your phone settings. You will also need to ensure the International Roaming Service is activated via the MyYes app > YesRoam > Activate Roaming. A roaming deposit may be required if you are a Yes customer for less than 6 months. If you are a principal line user, you may assist your supplementary lines to subscribe YesRoam by increasing the credit limit or paying additional roaming deposit via MyYes app to subscribe YesRoam. Login to primary account > Switch to supplementary line in account dropdown > Click More > Roaming > Activate Roaming > Increase credit limit or pay deposit > Activate roaming.
Note: Please be informed that effective 1st of August 2024, the roaming deposit of RM300 will be refunded to customers after a period of 6 months from the payment date. The roaming deposit refund will be posted to a customer’s account as a bill payment. Customer’s credit limit will remain unchanged despite the refund. This roaming deposit refund policy is applicable to all customers who pay Roaming deposit from 1st of August 2024 onwards. - How do I select a roaming operator on my phone?
Your phone will usually select and connect to the roaming operator automatically once you turn off airplane mode or power on the phone after landing. If your phone is not set to auto network selection or if there’s an issue with the connection, you may need to manually select a roaming operator in the phone settings. Please follow the simple steps below:iOS
i. Go to your phone ‘Settings’.
ii. Select ‘Mobile Service’ and then ‘Network Selection’.
iii. Switch off ‘Automatic’ and select the preferred roaming operator’s network.Android
i. Go to your phone ‘Settings’.
ii. Select ‘Connections’ and then ‘Mobile networks’.
iii. Tap on ‘Network operators’.
iv. Switch off ‘Select automatically’ and select the preferred roaming operator’s network.
* Please note that the steps above may vary depending on your phone model and firmware version.
**Please refer to yes.my/roaming for the list of roaming operators’ charges. - How does the “Pre-Book” Roaming Pass work?
The Pre-Book Roaming Pass is a feature available for the purchase of YesRoam SG and YesRoam ASEAN Plus roaming passes. This feature allows you to select your preferred activation date and time for the YesRoam SG or YesRoam ASEAN Plus roaming passes to destinations within eligible countries, and you can schedule it up to 30 days in advance. (Free cancellation can be done 24 hours before activation). The pass will be activated according to the selected schedule, following GMT +8 (MY Time). You can log in to the MyYes app to check your current and upcoming YesRoam passes and refer to the Welcome SMS that you’ll received upon arrival at your roaming country for more information. - Will you be notified of the activation of the YesRoam data roaming pass?
You will receive an SMS notification when your pass is activated, for both pre-book and automatic subscriptions. You can check the status of your YesRoam data roaming pass via MyYes app. - What will happen if I turn on roaming before my pre-booked pass activation time/date in a roaming country?
The YesRoam SG or YesRoam ASEAN Plus 1 Day pass will be automatically activated depending on your roaming country when data usage is detected. This is not stackable on top of your pre-booked pass. Please ensure the selection of your pre-booked date and time for activation for the roaming country is correct during pre-book confirmation. - How will I know if my pre-booked pass is activated successfully?
You will receive an SMS notification for the activation of the pre-booked pass. You may also check status of the pre-booked pass on MyYes app. - I have turned on data roaming and mobile data on my mobile device but am unable to access data services?
Please ensure that both Mobile Data and Data Roaming are turned ON in your phone settings and also verify that you have activated the roaming service in MyYes app. - When will my YesRoam data roaming pass expire?
The expiry date and time for different YesRoam data roaming passes may vary.
Both YesRoam SG and ASEAN Plus have the options of 24 hours, 72 hours and 168 hours validity for you to purchase. The pass will expire after the validity period of the purchased pass ends.
For other YesRoam Daily Pass, the pass validity will end at 23:59:59 of the visiting country’s capital city time.
Please check the expiry date/time of your active YesRoam data roaming passes in the MyYes App. - Is there any applicable Fair Usage Policy (FUP)?
FUP applies. You can still enjoy unlimited data roaming after you have exhausted the allocated high-speed quota. However, data speed will be reduced. - Can I restore my high-speed data upon reaching my high-speed quota for YesRoam data roaming passes?
You can purchase a YesRoam Daily Top-Up, YesRoam SG Top-Up or another YesRoam ASEAN Plus passes, depending on your roaming country via MyYes, to restore high-speed data. For more information on the price of the YesRoam data roaming Top-Up passes, please visit www.yes.my/roaming. - How many YesRoam data roaming passes, or YesRoam data roaming Top-Up can I purchase at one time?
There is no limit to the number of passes you can purchase in a day; the pass(es) are stack-able, i.e. you can buy as many as you prefer, even before you have exhausted the high-speed quota in the current active YesRoam pass. If you have reached your usage credit limit, you may increase your credit limit via MyYes App to purchase the YesRoam passes. - How will I be charged if I am connected to 2 or more roaming operators on the same day while roaming in different countries?
For YesRoam ASEAN Plus passes, it allows you to roam in any of the eligible countries on the same day without extra charges.
However, for other YesRoam Daily Pass, you’ll be charged for a YesRoam Daily Pass each time you connect to the roaming operators in different countries. For example, if you travel to Singapore and Australia within a day, the YesRoam SG activated in Singapore cannot be used in Australia. Another YesRoam Daily Pass will be auto-activated for Australia if data usage is detected in Australia. - What will happen if I turn on the data roaming in my phone and use data roaming service in a country where YesRoam data roaming passes are not available?
You may be charged at Pay-Per-Use (PAYU) rates based on your data usages in the country. For more information on the rates, please visit yes.my/roaming or via the MyYes app. - I had turned off data roaming and was using Wi-Fi. Why am I still charged for data roaming usage?
It is possible for some smartphones to still incur data roaming usage even if you have turned off Data Roaming in your phone settings. This is especially true on LTE, where data services can be activated by default when the phone performing a location update. This is specific for the LTE service and was not the case in GSM/GPRS/3G service. Should you really need to turn off data roaming, we recommend the following steps to avoid incurring further data roaming charges.
i. Switch OFF both Mobile Data and Data Roaming in your phone settings.
ii. Switch on airplane mode.
iii. Switch off airplane mode.
iv. Turn on Wi-Fi (If you want to use data services). - What if I have more questions not addressed in this FAQ?
